This is a simulator of jumping spiders which I dedicated a handful of work on the reality of game experience. So much like outdoor photography with all the details precisely treated, including the making of background materials, the design of jumping spiders logical thinking, the gravity in game world, etc.
I made this game from the experiences of watching jumping spiders over ten some years. This game was designed to unmask the esthetics of the competing of desires when a jumping spider has to make a choice.
~~~~ How to play ~~~~
Touch screen to guide the spider to hunt and mate, so as to complete lifespans. You can unlock the next level by completing one lifespan in the current level. You may kill the other spider to protect your spider, or to let the other spider eats your one. The concept of lose or win is weakened in this game. Experience is far more than lose or win.
~~~~ Core ~~~~
Jumping spiders face a trilemma when they meet partners: whether to attack the other or to flee away, or to mate? It exhibits the competing of three desires: appetite, sexuality and security. The core of this game is to display the esthetics of the fierce competing of them three.
~~~~ Features ~~~~
● Hign graphic quality. 3D materials were adopted, and the lighting direction is controlled by gyro which effects the reflection of materials.
● Gyro controls swinging of spider string. In level 2 and 4, the spider suspended himself with a string when attacking. This game reveal this sophisticated predatory behavior.
● Strong feedback. Spiders reply to finger touch by gazing, retreating, escaping, etc. So much like you are playing with your pets. ^_^
● Added a close-up on the mating dance of spiders. You can feel the beauty and romance of peacock spiders.
